Studio Late night lounge Jazz venue in Hong Kong opening night
A star-studded launch for Studio

The brand identity concept and launch for Jazz Lounge and luxurious ‘Studio’ in Hong Kong brought a new live music and late night concept to the city, with instant success.

The Brief

The owners of soon-to-launched simply named ‘Studio’ wanted to launch a luxury late-night Jazz lounge concept, with live-music and a refined atmosphere.

With a theme of ‘• Lounge • Live • Late’, Studio was intended to be a glamorous lounge bar with live music, a rotating set of soul, funk, and Latin jazz. Plus late-night DJs with a range of R&B hip-hop funk and disco house..

The Answer

Hong Kong isn’t necessarily known for Jazz, but there’s no shortage of clubs, so the brand needed to be persuasive. It also had to appeal to an upscale audience. To add to the challenge, the project had a tight timeframe and everything had to be designed from scratch.

The winning concept was built around striking, simple gold typography overlaid on a teal background and lines that lent themself to form language.

I created the logo and form-language, digital social media artwork plus printed artwork, member gifts, and bar and music equipment in record time.

The Outcome

For Studio’s grand launch, I designed a large-scale entrance backdrop, membership gift boxes and exclusive invites that attracted a guest list of socialites, celebrities and influencers.

The rebrand received an overwhelmingly positive response from the club owners, the public and the press. This resulted in a sold-out full capacity club week-on-week and expansive media coverage.

What they say;

“Victoria nailed this brand immediately – and that was good as we didn’t have much time to do it! It was a new concept in Hong Kong and we needed a very strong identity – which she achieved. It was great to work with her creativity and bring the brand to life through custom made music stands and leather bound menus.”

Bex Pawsey – Studio Hong Kong, Marketing Manager

“Working to develop the printed collateral across both brands was incredibly exciting, but especially in the case of Estella – the brand just sings. ”

Piper Stremmel – Estella Tacos Y Mezcal, Owner

“Our company is a boutique coffee roaster based in Shanghai, China. We had the pleasure of working with Victoria on multiple projects. To say the least, she did an amazing job, going above and beyond our expectations. Having worked with a number of designers, her talent, patience, and passion far surpassed past experiences.”
